Our client, a large Industrial construction company located in San Antonio, Texas is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator.
This company provides integrated construction, fabrication and specialty engineering services to industrial markets in the US. and Abroad. The performance of it’s employees has earned it national recognition as one of the top 400 contractors in the United States.
 
 
Job requirements- Senior Electrical Estimator

• Prepares, and/ or coordinate preparation of full estimates on large and complex construction projects.
• Provides preliminary and final estimating input on complex project estimates.
• Interfaces with owners, engineers and contractors to resolve technical matters during negotiation and contract
• execution. May supervise junior staff.
• Have the ability to prepare complex proposals.
• Reviews  proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings.
• Prepares complex estimates utilizing company estimating software.
• Reviews and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontractors productivity reports.
• Provides complete preliminary and final estimating input on complex project estimates.
• Insures all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.
• Coordinates development of proposal schedule with the scheduler.
• Provides technical support to personnel preparing discipline estimates for assigned bids..
• Assists with awarded contracts as required. May include budget creation estimating  change orders.
• For large projects, organize and lead the bid Adjudication Meeting.

 
  Qualifications Senior Electrical Estimator

• BS in construction, engineering or a related degree.
• Seven years estimating, project control or engineering experience.
• Five years estimating experience related to company’s core competency.
• Typical career tenure 8 to 20 years
• Proficiency with standard office software.
• Ability to estimate all types of projects plus ability to coordinate and supervise group work force.
• Through knowledge of company procedures, estimating standards and techniques.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and customer inquire documents.
• Ability to calculate quantities such as weight, length, area, volume, using basic geometry.
• Trigonometry is required. Make conversions in Metric System.
• Ability to identify risks and communicate risks to supervisor.
