Silicon Valley Power Customer Development and Project Management Division

is looking for an Electric Utility Engineer with electric utility and power system

experience.

This position will be part of the team that maintains and performs studies on the distribution

system model, identifies and implements projects that are necessary to support load growth,

performs distribution system planning and commercial/industrial customer projects and to

improve overall reliability of the distribution system. This position will also perform

encroachment permit reviews specifically to assess potential conflicts with distribution and

transmission infrastructure, manage the City's relationship with telecommunication companies

and review their applications to attach equipment such as, communication cables and wireless

antennas, to City owned assets such as wooden poles and streetlights. This position is also

intended to take charge of pole attachment application review, power distribution work and

standard creation, related to the 5G wireless technology deployed on City owned poles and

streetlights.
