InnerPlant is a VC backed company incorporating synthetic biology, remote sensing, and data science to develop biosensors for agriculture. We are designing a genetic trait which is bred into seeds - transforming entire fields into living sensors. Farmers receive their seeds with sensing capabilities built in. Using satellite or plane imagery we can provide farmers early actionable recommendations based on real time detection of plant’s specific stresses (fungal pressure, nutrient deficiency, and insects) weeks before existing technologies can detect. We are translating the agriculture industry from analog to digital to help farmers become more profitable, more efficient, and more sustainable.
