Company Description:

Our Community

A quiet, safe place to raise your children, with a small town atmosphere, a friendly, relaxed, no-pressure way of life where practically everyone knows each other. Additionally, we have wide-open spaces, the Verde River, a mild 4-season climate and panoramic views from the vistas above our valley. We have the ultimate location, location, location.

As a result of being geographically centered in the state’s lush Verde Valley, we have a moderate climate. The sparse population of less than 11,000, 46 square miles of land and many small farms and ranches enhance our rural, western lifestyle. The waterways that meander throughout our quiet community provide an abundance of riverfront properties, recreational opportunities and are a habitat for wildlife, such as bald eagles, hawks, blue heron, beavers and otters. Towering above the valley are majestic mountains that provide a scenic view of unsurpassed beauty.

Residents and visitors are able to enjoy outdoor activities such as horseback riding, four wheeling, jeep tours, hiking, camping, canoeing, kayaking and fishing.

Attractions include Montezuma Castle National Monument, Montezuma’s Well, the Verde River, Fort Verde Historic State Park, Out of Africa Wildlife Park and Cliff Castle Casino, which has an arcade, other children’s activities, a bowling alley and several restaurants.

The phrase “Camp Verde is Arizona’s best-kept little secret” is very illustrative of why residents call Camp Verde their home Town.

Location

Camp Verde is located 86 miles north of Phoenix in Yavapai County. The climate is arid, the hot summer days are often cooled by monsoons rains and the winters are mild. Camp Verde’s valley floor is classified as Lower Sonoran Desert. However, because it is situated on the Verde River, Camp Verde occupies a rare and enviable position among Arizona cities and towns.

Topography & Current Lifestyle

The Town consists of fields of flat river-plain, traversed by the Verde River (18 miles of river lies within the Town limits) and its tributaries, with desert hills and mesas rising in the forefront of the distant mountains. Beyond the immediate settlement, the land is public, mostly administered by the U.S. Forest Service.

Vision Statement

Camp Verde will maintain its western, rural, friendly, and historic atmosphere with scenic beauty while meeting the needs of its citizens by providing shopping and employment opportunities along with reasonably priced housing. Natural resources such as water and open space will be a priority for concern. Commercial and residential areas will be neat and appealing in appearance so as not to distract from the natural beauty and mountain vistas of the Town.
