Demolition work. Including but not limited to: high rise structures, bridges and overpasses, industrial sites, commercial/retail complexes, residential, green demolition to meet LEED or other recycling initiatives, engineered demolition plans and procedures, concrete cutting and coring, hazardous materials abatement, asset recovery and salvage, concrete crushing.
Education: engineering degree, construction management, PMP or similar
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall project performance including schedule, budget, quality and safety
- Review the project plans & specifications
- Maintain excellent relationships with municipalities, clients, consultants, subcontractors
- Develop a schedule for project completion
- Provide timely and effective project reporting
- Initiate and control a request for information process for all project issues and inquiries
- Organize, oversee & provide minutes for ALL applicable meetings required for the projects
- Responsible to obtain project specific insurance & to confirm the required subcontractor insurance is in place and up to date
- Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured
- Understand and enforce contractual responsibilities
- Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary
- Oversee project closeout and evaluate the outcomes of the project as established
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience managing projects, construction and/or demolition
- Understanding of construction law, cost accounting/budgeting, scheduling, safety requirements
- Computer literate (MS word, excel, project, outlook, Explorer, Paydirt)
- Excellent communication skills
- Eager and hard working
- Team player
