Job Description:

Are you a talented Hardware Engineer / Electrical Design Engineer looking for an opportunity to work on exciting new Autonomous Driving initiatives in Southeast Michigan? If you have experience with high speed digital design in electronics and communication protocol, read on!


Job Summary:

The Electrical Design Engineer / Hardware Engineer needs to have a good background in analog and digital electronics and will play a vital role in the development of the schematics and BOM's for Intel x86 and NVIDIA hardware based products. The employer is a well-established developer of autonomous driving technology and seeking a professional with experience in high speed digital design in electronics and communication protocol.


Responsibilities:
  • ---Development of the BOM's and schematics for highly reliable Intel x86 such as g. Xeon AD data server and NVIDIA hardware such as Tesla / Volta based GPU, Pascal, Parker, Xavier based products for automotive applications.
  • ---Work with other engineers team such as Mechanical, Validation, Layout, software etc. for design and development.
  • ---Knowledge transfer about technology by working with external design and manufacturing companies.
  • ---Design and debug the investigations and support development, maintenance, failure analysis, and resolution activities.
  • ---Record and maintain the documents such as block diagrams, schematics, manuals, BOM's, and test plans.

Qualifications Targeted:
  • ---Bachelor's degree in Science or equivalent.
  • ---Experience in implementing high speed serial buses such as NVME, PCIe, SATA, USB, MIPI and parallel  buses such as memory bus - DDR2/x etc...
  • ---Practical experience with analog / digital electronics such as RF, analog, digital, audio, video, power,  electro-mechanical, low power, charging, touch display, and sensors.
  • ---Experience in implementation of communication protocol such as SPI, I2C, TCP, UDP, etc...
  • ---Experience with Signal and Power Integrity simulation, testing and validating motherboards in the laboratory.
  • ---Skilled in high speed digital design, signal integrity, PCB layout, RF/EMI/EMC/ESD mitigation techniques, simulation  and power distribution techniques of modern processors.
  • ---Experience with high speed circuits for x86, or machine learning or deep learning or computer vision GPU based Architecture will be preferred.
