Education: Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma with P.Eng status

Responsibilities:

• Design of mechanical HVAC and plumbing on a variety of projects (commercial, light industrial, institutional and residential)
• Perform accurate detailed site surveys
• Perform site inspections and accurate field reviews
• Lead design meetings, with architects, consultants and clients
• Assuming a leadership role, managing the team towards ensuring the successful completion of project deliverables
• Ensuring professional quality services in all facets of work
• Preparing reports, proposals and technical drawings
• Analysis of complex engineering issues and problems
   

Requirements:

• 10+ years experience in HVAC, Plumbing systems (commercial, light industrial, institutional and residential)
• Ability to prepare drawings using REVIT and AutoCAD
• Excellent knowledge of the BC Building code, plumbing code, ASHRAE, NEC, and all other applicable codes needed to complete the design (ASPE, ASHRAE, etc.)
• Ability to read architectural, structural, electrical drawings
• Excellent organizational skills, positive attitude
• Knowledge of Energy Management and associated software is an asset 
• Experience leading and directing other technical staff members

• Experience in site investigations and construction review
• Analytical, thorough, resourceful and detail-oriented
