Job Description:

Grain-based manufacturer with total annual revenues of $1B, producing a variety of cookies, crackers and snacks for major national and regional grocery chains.

New 320K sq.ft. Greenfield Plant to be built, employing 300+.  

Mission:
To deploy the Global process engineering plan, leading process optimization projects, documenting and sharing best practices, leading process feasibility and design studies to confirm existing and future capabilities, providing process support to the plant and to CAPEX projects from process specs to process commissioning, ensuring that Operational documentation is in place for start-up.
The role represents the technology bridge between Innovation and CAPEX teams.

Responsibilities:
The Manager will join the team during the design and construction phases of our new Manufacturing Plant, supporting the Technical Project Leader at Local Level. Once the project has been concluded, the candidate will remain as the Plant Process Engineering Manager.
He / She will lead the process design phase of the Capex project, developing Functional Description Specifications and aligning P&ID´s with the different suppliers, providing all documentation in a timely manner to the Technical Project Leader.
He / She will lead the commissioning phase of the project, agreeing with suppliers the success criteria factors for all FAT and SAT phases, being aligned with the different stakeholders.
He / She will lead the commissioning team making sure that a commissioning plan is in place and aligned with stakeholders and suppliers.  Ensure that Operational documentation (Work and
Cleaning instructions, Start-up and Shut-down checklists) is in place before lines start up.
He / She will make sure that a training program is in place and executed before lines start up.
He / She will lead the ramp up phase making sure that the lines are handed over to operations when these safe, reliable and performing according to the agreed conditions in the URS (User Requirements Specification) document.

Identify and capture of process and process control best practice.
Contribution to the plant performance via troubleshooting support.
Transfer of the process knowledge to the site team.
Setup of process best practice to collate improvement ideas.
Up to date knowledge of our processes, equipment and technologies.
Attending daily factory meeting.
Supervise installed and future monitoring and recording systems to ensure that processes are under control and react in case not (SPC, QMS,…)
Responsible at plant level to make sure that P&ID´s and Operational documentation is in place and up to date.
Partner with Engineering Director, Strategic Engineering Manager, R&D Managers, Project Managers, Plant Managers.

Qualifications:
BSE
+ 5 years’ of professional experience working as a Plant Process Engineering Manager with some cookies and cereals experience.
GMP knowledge. Hygienic design knowledge. Knowledge of process control systems. Project management.  Computer and systems.  Product / packaging, technology, equipment and process improvements. Project management tools.

Travel availability up to a 50%.
Bi-lingual Spanish desirable.
