Job Description:

Evergreen Engineering, Inc. seeks a Civil/Structural Mid-Level Engineer to join their team in Eugene, Oregon or Atlanta, Georgia. As a Civil/Structural Mid-Level Engineer, you will primarily work on structural projects, including the design and creation of construction drawings for industrial buildings and non-building structures, foundations, and equipment support structures.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.  

  • Develop structural designs and details for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures. 
  • Perform field investigation of existing conditions. 
  • Perform structural calculations for permitting and client review. 
  • Edit specifications. 
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines. 
  • Prepare design documents for drafting. 
  • Oversee and direct the drafting of construction drawings. 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a directly related discipline required
  • Must obtain PE license after required experience is completed. 
  • Previous A&E firm experience, with work in structural design strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of work experience in steel, concrete, masonry design, structural modeling, and drafting (AutoCAD and/or Revit) preferred
  • Experience with RISA3D, RisaFoundation, and Risa Connection is highly desired
  • Familiarity with the International Building Code structural provisions and referenced structural standards (ASCE 7, AISC 360, ACI 318, etc.). 
  • Must have a strong interest in structural engineering and have an understanding of basic principles of the structural discipline. 
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with MS Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and structural modeling software. 
  • Ability to generate engineering sketches and supervise drawing generation. 
  • Must be self-motivated, able to learn quickly, and work effectively in a team environment. 
  • Effective communication and impromptu problem-solving skills.
