Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 4 to serve as the Design/Construction Oversight Engineer in Seattle, WA.  The Sound Transit (ST) light rail program is a multi-billion-dollar, multi-decade program that heavily utilizes WSDOT Right of Way (ROW) for permanent railway infrastructure installation, and access to perform that construction. Modifications to WSDOT facilities including bridges, roadway, drainage, illumination, and Information Technology Systems (ITS) are also included in the program. This position supports design and construction oversight of ST work on WSDOT facilities and light rail construction in WSDOT ROW. This position is critical in fostering a respectful and healthy work environment with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. 
 
This position is visible as a design reviewer and as primary field staff, providing internal coordination to see that WSDOT infrastructure condition is preserved during the ST design or construction, as well as proper and timely notification of impacts are communicated through various channels.
