Qualifications and responsibilities for this Structural Engineer (Transportation/Bridges) position include:- BS or MS in Civil Engineering or related field- Professional Engineer (PE) and SE required- 6-10 years of experience in Civil Engineering with a focus on structures and bridges- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, and MicroStation; Illinois DOT and Tollway standards preferred- Prepare cost estimates, technical specs, and design calculations for transportation-related structures- Inspect and assess bridges, retaining walls, and make repair recommendations- Create Bridge Condition Reports, Type, Size, and Location (TSL) Plans- Design new structures and perform load rating calculations for existing ones- Collaborate with engineers on larger projects, while managing smaller individual design tasks- Ensure compliance with client standards and meet project deadlinesSalary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
