Job Description:
Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, the incumbent manages and performs a variety of advanced engineering and construction management assignments. This position is responsible for performing highly skilled planning and project management tasks related to the construction of major Sewer Utility Capital Improvements, including design, bidding, implementation and on-going management of contracts with consulting firms and contractors. The position supervises engineers, office support and interns.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR PERFORMANCE OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, construction management, or closely related field, from a college, university or school accredited by an agency recognized by the US Department of Education; AND Four years of progressively responsible technical civil engineering experience, including two years of construction experience including structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil work for pumping and water/wastewater treatment facilities; AND Two years of supervisory experience of staff and construction oversight, construction management, project management, and design development review; AND One year of contract administration experience; ORAny equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the applicant with the desired knowledge, skills and ability required to perform the work.
Preferred Education, Experience or Other Qualifications
Project or construction management experience with government/public entities.Registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer or Licensed Land Surveyor.Certified Construction Manager from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA).Certification from the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA).The annual salary for this position ranges from $86,197.29 - $121,794.55.
