The Manufacturing Engineering Manager plays a crucial role in the success of Innovive through streamlining the manufacturing process, aiding in automating, and error proofing production lines ensuring the highest quality of production. This position requires end to end experiences in the design, engineering, implementation, and adaptation of custom filling, assembling, packaging, and material handling production lines with continuous equipment modification and process improvement. This full time position will report to the Vice President of Engineering completing these tasks which may also include identifying and implementing electrical control projects, mechanical projects, and automation initiatives that will in turn eliminate non-value-added manufacturing costs.   Position Responsibilities: Manage and Lead the automation team and projects.Provide leadership and vision for in-house automation initiatives.Establish technical competence and knowledge of process and manufacturing equipment.Understand the product consistency and quality issues that could hinder automation equipment.Measure and analyze production line and infrastructure performance.Participate in the evaluation of equipment by contributing creative manufacturing solutions involving production lines, machinery and infrastructure.Develop and design equipment layouts, arrangement drawings and subassemblies.Produce detail design drawings, documents, schematics and bill of materials of components, assemblies and machines.Aid with or oversee the installation of equipment upgrades designed to optimize the production process.Research, develop and recommend improvement initiatives.Support implementation of selected electromechanical process improvements.Help establish project scope, key deliverables, budget and schedule estimates.Help determine infrastructure/equipment layouts and space preparation as required.Coordinate equipment specifications; identify potential suppliers. Participate in vendor selection and negotiation.Support internal change management process to ensure that new processes/procedures are fully adopted within the facility.Ensure delivery of operation documentation and training for appropriate personnel on new equipment or processes.Work in accordance with all company policies and procedures regarding employment, safety, quality, product safety and legality, security, and regulatory compliance as applicable.Recruit and train additional team members.Collaborate cross-functionally with internal organizations.   Qualifications & Skills: Detailed mechanical design capability with emphasis on production automation.Experienced in engineering of conceptual layouts, detailed drawings, documents, schematics and BOM.Hands on experience in installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of automated production systems.Project management skills and ability to deliver on time and within budget.Naturally curious and creative thinkerComfortable with presenting projects to management.Excellent problem-solving skills in an industrial equipment environment.Proven design skills including SolidWorks (or equivalent) expertiseDemonstrated team building and leadership skills.   Education & Experience: BS Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or a related Engineering or other technical field.7+ years of experience in engineering working on manufacturing equipment and processes.5+ years in people management   Location: North Sioux City, South Dakota Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience and highly competitive within the industry.
