Job Description:
Global Manufacturing Leader is seeking a skilled Process Control/ Systems Engineer to support the controls, automation, networking and systems interface for the high speed plant operation. As the SME, you will strategically support operations, system issues, control projects and contribute to global automation initiatives. Experience: --BS Engineering degree with 5+ years experience as Process/ Controls Engineer utilizing Siemens DCS and PLC automation systems.--Experience with Siemens PCS7, Step 7, WinCC Server, TIA Portal, and programming languages is desired.--Advanced troubleshooting of PID loops, variable speed drives, control systems, and instrumentation.--Knowledge of Profibus, industrial networks, safety instrumented systems, and Cyber Security.--Experience managing projects exceeding $50k.--Familiarity with ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 environments.-- Able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future. Responsibilities: --Manage the Distributed Control System (DCS), including troubleshooting and system changes.--Provide expertise to solve system problems and support maintenance related to automation.--Serve as the DCS and Automation liaison to ensure consistency with other sites.--Implement approved equipment upgrade projects within budget and schedule.--Monitor and analyze system problems, determining root causes and initiating corrective actions.--Coordinate maintenance turnarounds related to automation, ensuring timely and safe completion.--Review and approve production records, maintenance procedures, and change requests.--Interact with Technicians to communicate production and compliance changes, conducting formalized training as necessary.--Assist in developing operating goals to support corporate objectives.--Supervise contractors and recommend equipment/components.--Negotiate vendor pricing and change automation systems logic.--Recommend new/updated systems and components.--Approve work permits as authorized.
