The Challenge
We are looking for an Engineering Technician to join our Bridge Maintenance team.
In this role, you will:
Perform technical duties supporting engineers and other professionals in construction, materials testing, design, surveys and program/regulatory compliance.Conduct compliance and code inspections.Analyze field and engineering-related data.Perform materials testing.Conduct reviews, mediation, and design of plan.Analyze products and functions.
What you Bring
Considerable knowledge and understanding of NCDOT concepts, practices, and theories used in highway construction.Experience maintaining detailed records and reports.Computer skills in Microsoft Office and using a laptop/iPad.Contract administration knowledge to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with NCDOT specifications, standard drawings, and policies.Math proficiency in functions, including algebra, geometry, & trigonometry.Ability to safely drive a State vehicle.Safety toe footwear.
Education and Experience
Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or a related field; or2+ years of engineering technician-related work; orAn equivalent combination of education and experience.
