Job Posting   Job Title: Systems Engineer – RFID Implementation Job Status: Full-time, Exempt Location: Must be able to work at Norristown, PA office, occasional work from home, travel required. Reports To (Position): Implementation Manager Pay Rate: The expected starting base pay for this role is USD $90,000-$95,000.00 per year. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. SUMMARY Fujitsu Frontech/Positek RFID is seeking a results-oriented individual with the desire for a career in technical support/implementation to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a professional and take-charge style with the motivation to meet and exceed customer expectations. Provides technical support for and implements Positek Solutions (including Positek software products, Positek RFID hardware products and Fujitsu Laundry tags) to our customers, partners, resellers, and solution providers. Assists in development and testing of new products and solutions. Essential Functions of the position include, but are not limited to; · Implements Positek’s RFID solutions (hardware, software and/or laundry tags) for Positek customers, both remotely and at the customer site(s). · Provides technical support to customers (via phone, email and in-person at customer sites) for RFID solutions, which includes answering technical questions, issuing resolution(s), troubleshooting and replicating of problems reported on RFID hardware and or Positek and other software platforms. · Opens, tracks and closes support cases in Microsoft Dynamics CRM tool to ensure complete resolution and customer satisfaction and communicates the status of support cases to customers, partners, the sales team and management. · Works as the technical interface liaison to the engineering team, providing detailed descriptions of technical issues and adoption of new feature requests to ensure proper understanding by the product owner/engineering design team. Continues to track and support all issues to ensure complete resolution and customer satisfaction. · Provides technical support to the sales team throughout North America. Supports major sales initiatives by attending client meetings and monitors client project status. · Provides technical support at tradeshow events that includes equipment setup/ teardown, and presentations/discussions with prospective customers. · Responsible for testing and evaluating hardware, software, and applications during product development and release processes. · Participates in the product development team. · Develops, enhances, and maintains technical training documents. Conducts technical training for customers and partners to include device theory of operations, software interface, troubleshooting, high level repair, preventative maintenance and general care of product. · Works closely with Product Management in the life cycle management of the product/device. · Customarily and regularly exercises independent discretion and judgment. · Travels to support customer implementations and sales 50% of the time. QUALIFICATIONS Excellent team player, problem solver with a high level of self-motivation and initiative. · Ability to work well and interact professionally with others in a cross-functional team environment. · Experience with implementing and supporting hardware components in software applications. · Computer Operating system and IT knowledge (i.e. Windows, Networking, computer hardware and peripherals). · Previous experience with UHF RFID technology is desirable. · Ability to analyze, diagnose and solve complex technical system issues related to device, peripherals, operating systems, and applications. · Ability to pick up and learn new technology. · Ability to conduct user training on various technical topics. · Ability to work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and departments at all levels within the organization. · Strong organizational with excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Must be capable of managing multiple priorities effectively and be able to identify and recommend best course of action from several alternatives. · Ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate to large scope and complexity using company or departmental policies as guidelines. · Must be capable of managing multiple priorities effectively and be able to identify and recommend best course of action from several alternatives. · Ability to work independently (and with limited supervision) while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and departments at all levels within the organization. · Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. · Ability to understand mechanical and electrical drawings. Experience in editing cad drawings a strong plus. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in a technical or engineering field (such as Math, Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering) from a four-year college or university; or 3 to 5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. COMPUTER SKILLS Demonstrate ability to effectively use computer and applicable computer software. Knowledge of MS Office, MS Windows, any CRM product, Windows networking and remote collaboration tools. Experience with applications running on Relational Database technology (i.e. SQLServer) and Cloud hosted applications. Exposure to some of the following computer programming languages (Java, C++, C#, .net, VB.net). TRAVEL Must be able and willing to travel (up to 50%) for internal meetings, trade shows and customer support both domestically and internationally. Willing to travel by plane to locations in other states/countries.
