Founded in 1972, the Company grew organically from a one-man wine importing business to a producer and distributor of fine wine, premium spirits, and ready-to-drink beverages, including White Claw Hard Seltzer.Role Purpose: The Utility Supervisor supervises, leads, and ensures the safety of the technical teams who are performing planned and unplanned maintenance in the Utility Department at the Glendale, AZ brewery.  This role is responsible for supervising the activities of the utility operators, who will be operating and maintaining the wastewater plant, the well water, RO system, refrigeration, chilled water systems, the air compressors, CO2 recovery, nitrogen generation, all water distribution and wastewater collection systems, injection wells any associated controls for said systems, and managing the materials and supplies needed for operating and maintaining said systems.  The role will assist in the preparation of operation and maintenance plans, and ensure the team is meeting the required process specifications.  The role will also perform other related work as assigned.*Must be able to work night shift: 10:00pm-6:30am, M-F*Accountabilities & Impact:Supervises and advises the activities of staff including work assignment, performance evaluation, and employee development; participates in employee selection, disciplinary action, and resolving team member concerns.Schedules, coordinates, and provides field supervision of staff involved in maintenance and construction activities of water distribution and wastewater collection systems, water meter reading, water service and meter replacements, installations, and utilities customer services.Orders maintenance materials and supplies.Prepares work plans for the maintenance of the water distribution and wastewater collection systems.Maintains records and prepares reports. Provides input for and assists in the preparation of performance evaluations of assigned subordinate personnel.Assist in the development of departmental standard operating procedures and emergency response policy and procedures for utility maintenance operations.Provide for the training of assigned personnel in work methods, use of tools and equipment, and safety practices.Assist in developing product specifications and in maintaining effective working and liaison relationship with purchasing operations.As needed, perform crew work including the operation of all types of motorized equipment; may operate equipment during training or emergency- situation  Skill & Experiences Needed: 2-5 years validated experience in a supervisory or leadership role as it relates to plant utilitiesAssociates degree or higher in utilities related field (combination experience/education); wastewater certifications, boiler certification, or refrigeration certification are a plus.Must be skilled with the proper use of power and hand tools, forklift experience is helpful.Experience using a CMMS system for scheduling and planning maintenance activities.Experience using MS Office products such as Excel, Word, and Outlook, or similar software.  The Wastewater/Utilities Supervisor position is well-suited for you if you have/are: Ability to manage well under pressure while staying true to the company values.Strong work ethic and willingness to take on any task.Reliable and punctual - must adhere to attendance and absenteeism policy.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work while multitasking.Excellent communication skills both orally and written.Ability to demonstrate and maintain a “can-do” and positive attitude.Ability to provide and receive open and regular feedback and adjust accordingly.Works collaboratively within various teams.Ability to adjust communication/leadership style as needed and when appropriate.Fully accountable owner of self and team behaviors and results.  Working conditions: This position is exposed to occupational hazards, including but not limited to, high noise levels, physical obstacles, exposure to chemicals, etc.Ability to work outdoors occasionally, exposed to the outside conditions, for short periods of time.Subject to extreme heat/cold temperaturesMust have sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.Fast-paced and constantly changing work environment.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand/move 8-12 hours per day.Ability to ascend/descend stairs/ladders throughout shift.Fine motor skills and dexterity for manipulationMust wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including (but not limited to) bump cap, safety steel toe shoes, safety glasses, dust masks or PAPRs.Must adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Scheduling requirements: 2-2-3, 12-hour shifts in a two-week cycle. Shift operations include weekends, holidays.
