dIREKTION 360 is an international engineering firm specialized in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEPF) services. We are seeking a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Plantation, Florida.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESThe ideal candidate should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively. The candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical system designs for a variety of building types, including residential, commercial, and industrial. Specific responsibilities include:
Design Electrical Systems: Lead the design of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems for new construction, renovations, tenant improvements, and facility additions.Engineering Drawings & Specifications: Develop engineering drawings and prepare technical specifications using AutoCAD and REVIT, ensuring compliance with relevant codes (NEC, NFPA, etc.) and industry best practices.Electrical Calculations: Perform various electrical calculations such as NEC demand/load, short circuit, voltage drop, and lighting calculations.Photometric Simulations: Conduct photometric simulations for interior and exterior lighting designs.Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with other disciplines (MEP, architectural, civil, structural) to avoid design conflicts and ensure a seamless integration of systems.Field Investigations & Reporting: Conduct site surveys, safety inspections, and electrical recertifications, preparing engineering reports for findings.Construction Administration: Provide support during the construction phase, including technical review of RFIs, shop drawings, and submittals.Team Collaboration: Work closely with Senior Engineers to ensure quality project execution and team alignment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.5+ years of experience in electrical engineering for building design preferred, but recent graduates and junior engineers are encouraged to apply.Strong understanding of Florida Building Code and National Electrical Code (NEC).Proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of REVIT.Experience in load calculations, lighting design, and fire alarm systems.Ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.Strong initiative, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
