By focusing on grid modernization, digitalization, and energy efficiency, they are driving the transition toward a low-carbon world.As they continue to pave the way for a greener future, they are looking to hire Field Service Engineer for multiple locations, including, Atlanta, GA, Portland, OR, and Las Vegas, NV to join their team.Role Overview:Plan, execute, and lead, with minimal professional guidance, technical field assignments involving the installation, modification, testing, commissioning, or repair of High Voltage equipment ranging from 69kV to 550kV. This role requires immediate availability for first-response field service operations.Responsibilities:Perform field service operations requiring strong technical skills to address both routine and complex issues.Execute or supervise the installation and commissioning of high voltage substation equipment (69kV to 550kV).Supervise electricians and contractors hired by the company or provided by the customer.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high voltage equipment.Troubleshoot and repair equipment using knowledge and hands-on experience.Conduct and document field tests such as electrical tests, SF6 leak detection, gas analysis, timing, power factor, and contact resistance.Compile and analyze data to resolve operating problems or malfunctions.Perform inspections to identify necessary maintenance and repairs, assisting in determining resource requirements.Develop recommendations and prepare detailed reports.Maintain thorough records and logs of work performed.Recommend changes, such as new equipment or modified procedures, to improve performance and customer satisfaction.Assist in planning and coordinating team efforts.Work in varying environmental conditions and non-standard schedules at field locations.Follow all safety policies and procedures.Travel is estimated at 80%.Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent is a must.Technical certificate in an electrical or mechanical-related field, with 5+ years of experience in high voltage substations and equipment (>69kV), including supervising erection and testing.Proven leadership experience coordinating and leading crews on electrical project installations.Experience working with power utilities, substations, and transformers. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.Familiarity with operating test equipment such as CB timers, power factor testers, TTR, CT testers, and Meggers.Knowledge of Windows applications.Work authorization that permits employment in the United States.
