Transportation Engineer 2 Tumwater, WA – Headquarters Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking to fill two transportation engineer vacancies in Tumwater, WA. These positions will assist the HQ Right-of-Way (R/W) Lead Plan Reviewer and the HQ Property Review Engineer with contributing to the agency’s mission, by providing R/W Plan approval essentials to the design and construction of department capital projects and assist in disposing or conveying any surplus property to non-agency parties when no longer needed for highway purposes and generating revenue for the motor vehicle fund. Other responsibilities include drafting and providing technical reviews of R/W Plans including reviewing surplus property packages, reviewing geometric alignments, survey calculations, ownership verification, and property descriptions, and reviewing surplus property packages requested by statewide Real Estate Services office and posting surplus properties to the Real Estate maps and R/W plans. In addition, these positions will verify the package completeness, assist with the review of supporting documents such as boundary lines and areas, and legal descriptions, pulling supporting information from the WSDOT Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and other systems.
