Qualifications and responsibilities for this Licensed Electrical Engineer position include:- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred) with a Professional Engineer (PE) license required.- 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 4 years in the solar industry.- Proficiency in electrical design software, including AutoCAD, ETAP, PVSyst, and SKM Power Tools.- Design and prepare electrical single-line diagrams, schematics, and layouts for utility-scale solar power plants.- Specify and oversee electrical components such as inverters, transformers, and switchgear.- Perform electrical load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and protection coordination studies.- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards like NEC, IEC, and IEEE.- Lead technical due diligence, design review, and risk assessment for solar projects.- Mentor junior engineers while managing project timelines, deliverables, and budgets.- 10 – 20% travel to visit project sites and meet with clients.Salary: $100,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus an annual performance bonus.
