A premier leader in the construction industry is seeking a Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) for an exciting opportunity in the White Sands, NM area. Qualifications and responsibilities for this Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) position include:- 5+ years of construction safety experience on DoD projects.- OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification (within the past 5 years).- USACE Quality Control Management Certificate.- Recent 24 hours of safety and health-related training applicable to the job.- Current First Aid/CPR/AED training.- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.- Ability to pass DoD security clearance for base access.- Develop, implement, and enforce Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DoD, and USACE EM385-1-1 standards.- Conduct regular site safety inspections and generate detailed reports.- Provide on-site safety training and orientations.- Coordinate emergency responses and interface with emergency services.- Collaborate with project teams to refine safety policies and procedures.Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
