Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager – (Buildings)My client’s mechanical team is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer / Project Manager with a strong background in HVAC & plumbing. Someone capable of completing the projects from start to finish, with a demonstrated expertise in building’s decarbonization or deep retrofit projects, and high energy efficiency projects too.  Strong ability to cultivate/maintain relationships with clients is also necessary. Be driven to develop innovative solutions to engineering challenges as well as accompanying the clients through the design process for an array of different building types in institutional, commercial and municipal infrastructure.   Education: Mechanical Engineering degreeResponsibilities:Prepare and review plumbing and HVAC schematicsPrepare or supervise the design of buildings including commercial, residential, and institutional projectsPerform and review heating and cooling ventilation calculations Work with the project team from the conceptual and preliminary stages of design through to the completion. Mentor younger engineers and production staff.Ensure compliance with the quality assurance and control program Liaise directly with clients and maintain business relationships including business developmentRequirements: 8+ years of directly related experience in mechanical buildings engineering including HVAC, plumbing, and building servicesA registered P.Eng. with EGBC, or ability toSelf-motivation and strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)   Demonstrate a commitment to client serviceKnowledge of Canadian codes and standardsKnowledge of commercial building automation systems and DDC control systems   Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and commercial HVAC load calculation software A valid BC driver's license This position is located in Vancouver, BC Canada.Please submit resumes to jobs.networkrecruiting.ca in word format.
