Qualifications and responsibilities for this Senior Solid Waste Engineer position include:- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field (Master’s degree preferred).- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Kansas or Missouri (required).- Minimum of 10 years of experience in solid waste engineering, including landfill design, permitting, and construction quality assurance (CQA).- Proven expertise in designing and permitting landfill gas systems and managing all facets of solid waste projects.- Experience working with regulatory agencies in the Midwest (Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas preferred).- Leadership skills to manage clients, mentor staff, and guide project execution.- Strong business development skills with the ability to secure and manage new client relationships and projects.- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with solid waste regulations at local, state, and federal levels.Salary: $80,000 - $175,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
