Job Description:Position Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety across all aspects of operations. This role plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing quality management systems and fostering a culture of excellence within the organization.   Duties: Quality Management: · Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system (QMS) in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. · Establish quality control processes for all phases of production, including component manufacturing, assembly, testing, and installation. · Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and enhance product quality and reliability. · Provide training and support to employees on quality assurance procedures and best practices.   Regulatory Compliance: · Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards governing the wind energy industry in Texas, including OSHA, EPA, and ANSI/ISO standards. · Stay informed about changes in legislation, regulations, and industry best practices related to quality and health & safety and ensure timely updates to policies and procedures. · Maintain accurate records and documentation related to regulatory compliance, audits, inspections, training, and incident investigations.   Supplier and Customer Quality Assurance: · Establish quality criteria and specifications for components and materials procured from suppliers, and conduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure compliance. · Collaborate with customers to understand their quality requirements and expectations, and address any concerns or issues related to product quality or performance.   Continuous Improvement: · Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and health & safety and implement measures to improve performance and efficiency. · Facilitate quality improvement initiatives and projects, such as Lean Six Sigma methodologies, to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance product quality. · Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation by encouraging employee involvement and participation in quality and safety initiatives.   Health & Safety Management: · Develop and implement an effective health and safety management system (HSMS) to promote a safe working environment and prevent accidents and injuries. · Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential health and safety hazards associated with workshop operations. · Establish and enforce safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices. · Provide ongoing safety training and education to employees, contractors, and visitors, covering topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and accident prevention. · Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve safety performance.   Darwin Recruitment is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
