Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Deputy Commissioner, performs technical review, tracks, and processes departmentalbuilding permits. Completes the necessary review of the permit submittals and provides technical commentary inwriting as appropriate. Performs field inspections when appropriate and at the direction of the Deputy Commissionerto support or dispute claims, verify plan submittals, support field inspectors, consult with project engineers, andadminister professional service contracts.*This is position is eligible for a signing bonus*Minimum QualificationsGraduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering andTwo (2) years as a civil engineer or directly related experience orAn equivalent combination of education and/or experience is required.Valid driver's license with proof of insurance is required.Preferred QualificationsTwo (2) years of work experience in stormwater management and design or review of site improvementplans• Certification as a Certified Floodplain Manager• One (1) or more years of work experience using AutoCAD or similar software*This position is considered a safety-sensitive position.
