Possible lead opportunity. Overtime available. Salary 140k-180k. Located downtown Los Angeles. Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing civil engineering projects from conception to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders. Responsibilities Design and draft civil engineering plans using software such as AutoCAD and MicroStation.Conduct technical writing for project documentation, reports, and proposals.Perform construction inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety regulations.Utilize SWMM (Storm Water Management Model) and HEC (Hydrologic Engineering Center) tools for hydrologic analysis.Collaborate with project engineers to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets.Analyze data and prepare detailed engineering calculations using Mathcad.Review and evaluate project designs for feasibility and effectiveness.Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, and other relevant design software is essential.Experience with technical writing and documentation is preferred.Familiarity with SWMM and HEC tools for water resource management is a plus.Strong project engineering skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in drafting and design work.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-engineers.
