DIRECT HIRE:Are you an innovative electrical engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to drive improvements in plant operations, design cutting-edge control systems, and collaborate with a dynamic team to enhance productivity and safety? This role will work closely with plant maintenance in addition to fulfilling traditional plant engineering duties. The position plays a key role in projects for plant equipment and system enhancement that will yield improved safety and profitability. You will be involved from planning through completion in developing and overseeing these initiatives. Expertise in electrical distribution, maintenance systems, backup utilities, process control, and instrumentation are key to this role. This position has potential to grow into a leadership role.Main Responsibilities:Collaborate with internal and external resources on the design of automation solutions for plant equipment and processes.Prepare specifications by assessing the electrical needs with projects.Research, prepare, and analyze material and labor estimates for project budgetsSuggest improvements focused on safety, productivity, cost-efficiency, and overall operational performance.Refine and enhance programming for PLC’s and other plant control system and equipment.Assist the Maintenance Department with the setup, launch, and troubleshooting of electrical machinery and equipment.Provide maintenance staff with electrical engineering assistance and troubleshooting existing an new equipment.Create preliminary engineering drawings and coordinate with the design staff to ensure accuracy of final schematics.Develop and implement maintenance schedules and calibration protocols for plant equipment.Provide technical guidance to production teams regarding equipment issues and system operations.Strict adherence to regulatory standards, including safety and quality guidelines. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.Strong grasp of electrical engineering concepts and principles.5+ years of experience desiredCapable of working independently while contributing to team efforts.Excellent organizational, project management, and time-management skills.Experience with manufacturing equipment such as grinders, mixers, presses, and rolls, is required.
