This is an on-the-floor role, directly supporting manufacturing operations by troubleshooting machinery, optimizing production processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring 3-5 years of experience in a similar environment, with a deep understanding of polymer extrusion and a proven ability to work closely with production equipment. Those with 8+ years of experience and a background in technical leadership are highly desirable. This role requires a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing setting and is eager to be actively involved in day-to-day production activities. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working directly with production equipment and engaging with the manufacturing team daily. • Troubleshoot and resolve daily production issues, ensuring smooth operations of polymer extrusion processes. • Conduct hands-on work with machines, optimizing their performance to meet quality, efficiency, and cost targets. • Lead process safety initiatives, performing risk assessments, and developing mitigation strategies. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous process improvements. • Provide technical support for start-ups of new products and equipment, ensuring proper documentation and transfer to production. • Collect and analyze production data using scientific and statistical methods. • Support capital projects related to equipment upgrades or new installations. • Enforce safety, quality, and environmental compliance standards (SQF/ISO). • Serve as a mentor to junior technical staff, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
