Job Description:
Estimator – Air DistributionEducation – University Degree or College DiplomaThe Estimator is responsible for all assigned quoting requests working in conjunction with the estimatingteam. The estimating team is responsible for compiling and sending bids out for all tender requests and otherquoting opportunities. The position also consists of providing technical support for quoting, preparingproposals/bids for submission and trouble shooting. Good communication skills, self-motivation, and a desireto learn will be required. Flexibility to deal with changing priorities and the ability to reliably respond in atimely manner. Responsibilities:Review incoming bids from General Email box and upload into RepEdge Manage assigned bids to be completed by the estimating teamComplete Take-Offs using Bluebeam softwareContinuously review the bid board and be aware of bids closing datesIf we are unable to bid the project, review the bid with salesperson/Air Distribution Manager. Notifythe customer that we will not bid if that is the case or offer extension
Identify specialty products ahead of time that may require additional time for pricingAwareness of market conditions (exchange rate, price increases, trends) and apply them to our bidsComplete accurate pricing using our Vendor SoftwareReview all addendums that are associated with the projectClearly state what is included and not included on bidsReview Mark Up Strategy with Estimating and Sales teamComplete bids 24 hours prior to closingComplete IFC Reviews upon receipt of Purchase Order from Sales TeamSupport Salesperson/Project Manager by assisting in processing Change Orders and Site InstructionsTake part in product training to stay updated.Able to think outside the box and provide value engineering if requiredProvide outstanding customer service, with a Customer First approach to businessConsistently improve the quality of our service to meet client’s expectations and to minimize costsand maximize the company’s competitive position
Ensure above and beyond service levelsSelf-educate, and attend manufacturer’s factory / training visits, when and if required to ensure youare constantly up to date on the latest product developments and software tools. (Some travel will beinvolved when we are able to safely do so)Take and provide feedback from Engineering and Sales teams to improve efficiencies.Build sustainable customer relationships and trust with customer’s account through opencommunication
Assist in all customer events as required. This could be open houses, sporting events, lunches, etc.Perform other duties assigned by your managerRequirements:
