Job Description:

This position manages, supervises, and develops the energy management program for the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) and other Orange County departments and facilities. Develops effective energy programs, including strategies and initiatives for energy reduction, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and recycling and waste diversion. Supports the Department and County Sustainable Action Plan (SAP) and Resiliency Initiatives. Work is performed with considerable independence under the supervision of a designated manager. Performance is reviewed through observations, reports and results achieved.Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Physical Sciences or a related field and four (4) years of experience in energy management, facility management, building engineering or commissioning, green building (LEED Certification), energy/resource conservation projects/programs or a related field to include two (2) years supervisory experience. In lieu of the degree requirements additional relevant experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.Preferences A Master's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences or a related field. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate accreditation or equivalent. Experience with Energy Star Portfolio Manager, EnergyCap, and ICLEI ClearPath. Experience in data analysis and/or data interpretation. Experience in research, writing, graphing and report production. Experience with Microsoft Excel. Experience working with Building Automation Systems. Experience with ISO 50001 certification.
