We are the highest rated state agency for employee satisfaction on Glassdoor with 300+ reviews.   NEW HIGHER SALARY: $37,782 - $66,120   The Challenge We are looking for a skilled mechanic to join our Castle Hayne Equipment team.   In this role, you will: Service, repair, rebuild, and diagnose mechanical systems for gas/diesel-powered automotive, heavy equipment, and power tools.Safely operate a motor vehicle.Perform skilled mechanical work including the following systems:Preventive maintenanceTires and tubesWheels and rimsCranking systemsLighting systemsCooling systemsFuel systemsHydraulic systems   What You Bring Complete set of mechanic's tools.Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker (N) endorsement. (Don't Have It? STILL APPLY!  You can get it within 360 days of hire through our on-the-job training program).Experience performing preventive maintenance on 1+ of the following: light, medium, heavy duty truck, or heavy equipment.Diagnostics experience with basic electrical systems and proper wiring repairs.Basic hydraulic system repair experience, including component replacement and hoses.Safety toe safety shoes.Ability to work in emergency situations and bad weather, such as snow, ice, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. that may lead to working extended daily hours, weekends, and holidays.Ability to perform work meeting all safety regulations and safely operate equipment for testing.Ability to prepare and maintain paperwork related to employment, equipment repair, inventory, and service records.You can understand written and verbal instructions.Strength and agility to move parts and materials to repair and maintain equipment.Demonstrated commitment to a safe working environment by leading by example.Ability to read and interpret Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals.   Notes We will conduct a pre-employment drug screening and background check for your past 2 years about controlled substances and alcohol testing.We may require current certification by the EPA as a Type I, II, III, or Universal Technician.   Education & Experience High School/GED diploma, and2+ years of relevant experience, orAn equivalent combination of education and experience.   Questions?
